The Fourier GR-1 breaks new ground in humanoid robotics, representing a significant milestone with its successful mass production and delivery. With a versatile body structure that replicates main degrees of freedom of human body, GR-1 possesses superior mobility and agility, making it an ideal embodied agent for artificial intelligence in various real-world applications. This advanced robot is designed to adapt to diverse environments, facilitating seamless interaction and task performance. GR-1 has already been experimentally applied in scenarios such as reception services, research and education, industrial manufacturing, and even rehabilitation, showcasing the effectiveness and versatility across multiple fields. The innovative design of GR-1 paved the way for future developments in robotics technology.
Ventete aH-1 Helmet
The Ventete aH-1 is an inflatable, micro-collapsible cycle helmet built to align with and inspire the growing, spontaneous use of micro-mobility in cities. By breaking from category conventions and replacing foam with air, the aH-1 offers several distinct advantages over conventional foam helmets to the contemporary cyclist: - Collapsible: The aH-1 cycle helmet offers unprecedented versatility and convenience. Its patented pneumatic structural system deflates to less than 3.5cm in thickness - smaller than a laptop - and can be carried discreetly. The helmet is provided with a small, electric pump for inflation in less than 30 seconds. - Cool: By replacing insulative foam with air, the aH-1 is able to radically improve thermal comfort. Thermal testing by EMPA (Switzerland) reveals that the aH-1 helmet scored 99% of the cooling values of a bare head (100%.) Conventional comparative helmets score around 60%. - Safe: The aH-1 is fully certified in the UK and EU. It has been independently tested and developed in partnership with HeadLab (Imperial College London) to mitigate against rotational impact - the leading cause of traumatic brain injury in accidents. The Ventete aH-1 launched to public sale in the UK and EU in Summer 2024.

Data Bugs - AI is a Mirror
"Data Bugs - AI is a Mirror" by Dotdotdot reflects our responsibilities in providing data, reducing biases, and training technologies that revolutionize our lives to ensure equity. The project is an immersive installation that makes the working mechanism of a neural network tangible and experiential, demystifying the omnipotence often attributed to AI. Set in an imaginary universe populated by insects, visitors engage with two scenarios that show how representation and simplification are interconnected. The installation addresses AI transparency and bias by using two AI models trained on two datasets: one with a Western-biased perspective on insects and another incorporating diverse insect images from an entomology archive. The installation features a real-time interactive model where visitors can observe how neural-networks make decisions. The two AI models, each trained on different datasets, generate unique insect images based on user interaction. The homogeneous dataset produces stereotypical images, while the diverse dataset creates varied, almost alien representations, highlighting the influence of data biases on AI outputs. The interactive design allows visitors to manipulate variables and observe real-time results. Data Bugs visualizes how AI processes data and demonstrates the impact of data quality on AI outputs, making complex technology understandable to the general public.
