Pia is a conversational assistant for the Pittsburgh International Airport, designed to provide a connected, single-stop solution for all travel queries. Her aim is to help transform Pittsburgh International Airport into a smarter and more efficient hub by 2025. As a data-rich assistant, Pia addresses various pain points and facilitates a seamless experience for both the airport and its passengers. Commercial air travel can present numerous difficulties for the average person, from determining the most efficient route to the airport, to locating staff and managing long lines once there. Pia's intelligent interfaces assist with the complex and time-sensitive needs of air travelers while providing airports with the data necessary to best deliver their services. Not only does Pia’s AI-driven mobile assistance connect travelers on the move, but it also helps those who are new to the airport, don't have the app installed, or don't speak the local language, by activating underused check-in kiosks.
