As the Managing Director of the World Design Organization (WDO), Bertrand works to drive an international community of members and stakeholder to design for a better world. With more than 20 years of experience as a sustainable design advisor and not-for-profit organization manager, Bertrand eagerly advocates for the strategic role of design to impact on sustainability. After graduating from the School of Design at Université de Montréal, he worked as a designer, later joining the Institute for Product Development as a Sustainable Design Advisor and became in 2012 the Managing Director of the Institute. He is a guest speaker as well as board member and committee advisor on innovation, design and sustainability for a variety of industry and governmental agencies.
