2021 DIA Delivery Instructions for Shortlisted Works in the Finals

The 2021 Design Intelligence Award delivery system will be officially opened from August 5, 2021 to September 8, 2021, Beijing time. The following is a specific description of the receipt of the finalists. 


Note: The review results of the nominated works have been opened for inquiry. Log in to the DIA official website and check the status of the work as "Approved", which means that the work is successfully selected for the final review.


1.Delivery Duration 

 (1) August 18-September 8, 2021 (Working day: 09:00-16:30[UTC+8]) 

 (2) Works  arrived in advance or overdue won’t be signed for.

3.Delivery Method 

Please follow the process above to complete the shipment and read the items below carefully: 

 (1) All shortlisted works shall ship the physical product or prototype to DIA. For digital works in Digital Economy shall provide link for download the software and video for operation process presentation.

 (2)For works are too large to transport like aircraft, vessel, etc., shall deliver a small-scale model or functional prototype. 

 (3)Participants should bear all expenses occurred in delivery.

 (4)Participants should inform DIA Committee by email (info@di-award.org) before 16:00, August 25, 2020(UTC+8) if the length of the work exceeds 2m.

 (5)Participants should contact DIA Committee for making an appointment at least one day in advance for self-delivery.

 (6)For oversea participants, please read “Notice for Shipment of Overseas Shortlisted Works” carefully.

 (7)Entries under the situation as below will be rejected by DIA Committee, which will be deemed as abstention of Final Evaluation automatically.

  -1- Works don’t arrive during delivery duration.

  -2- Works need to pay freight or customs clearance fees by DIA Committee.

  -3- The package of the work is damaged seriously. 

  -4- Participants don’t fill in delivery information in registration system within 24 hours after delivering the work.

  -5- Works don’t paste QR Code on package.

  -6- Works are not qualified for DIA Final Evaluation. 


4. Returning 

 (1) To ensure fairness of evaluation, works should not be gotten back arbitrarily without permission.

 (2) DIA Committee will arrange work returning and self- delivery 2 time (or self-delivery).

  -1- DIA Committee will arrange un-shortlisted work returning (or self-delivery) in the middle or end of October, 2021. The exact time will be announced later.

  -2- DIA Committee will arrange awarded work returning (or self-delivery) in December, 2021. The exact time will be announced later.

  -3- Large equipment (such as cars, helicopters, etc.) in the outdoor exhibition area will be exhibited for one week, DIA will contact the participants by email about the returning.

 (3)To ensure the completeness of each work and avoid the risk of damage in packaging, DIA Committee strongly recommends the participants pack the work or pick up the work on their own. Those who cannot be on site could entrust DIA Committee to arrange the work returning.

 (4)If the participants entrust DIA Committee to arrange the work returning, please read items below carefully:

  -1- Any costs and losses occurred in assisting returning shall be borne by the participants.

  -2- If sending back within China, DIA Committee will send it by freight collect.

  -3- If sending back to overseas countries and regions, participants must provide an international express account withholding account in advance.

 (5)The participants should pack and take the work back by their own in specified time if deliver works to DIA by their own. Please make an appointment at least one day in advance. 

 (6)For those works without completed return information in DIA system before September 8, 2021, DIA will reserve the work until the beginning of December. If the participants don’t contact DIA on time, which will be deemed as giving up the ownership of the work and DIA Committee will have the right to dispose it.

 (7)All awarded works with bonus shall donate their physical work to DIA Committee. Works required further development should be sent back once completed. Works with difficulties in shipping such as boat, train and plane could be replaced by scaled models approved by DIA Committee.


*Considering the numerous risks involved in the process of delivery, please read and sign “2021 DIA Risks Disclosure Statement” before delivering the works. 

Once works delivered, it would be deemed that you have read and accepted all above terms and conditions.
